BlueTec Energy is harnessing kinetic wave
energy to change climate change.

Blue is the
new green.
Two-thirds of the earth is covered in water.
It’s time to harness that potential.

Our commitment to making a significant, measurable impact on climate change is real. That’s why BlueTec is using known technologies to literally open the floodgates of renewable power generation with our Torpedo Wave Powered Generator – our Torpedo, not unlike its namesake the torpedo sea ray, a slow-moving bottom-dweller capable of generating an electric discharge of up to 220v, is a slow rotating Savonius rotor connected to a permanent magnet generator mounted to the sea floor generating up to 750kW of electricity.
Going green with ease.
Ease of Development
Accepted engineering practices eliminate
the need for costly development of
new technologies or processes.
Ease of Installation
Torpedoes are placed in near-shore
wave environments just outside
the surfzone allowing the use of
shallow-water vessels and equipment.
Ease of Operation
Because of ocean floor placement,
Torpedoes are impervious to
hurricanes, tsunamis, high winds,
hail or other natural phenomenon.

Ease of Maintenance
Torpedoes operate unattended for up
to ten years. Recaptured units are
reconditioned with approximately
98% of original parts reducing waste.
Ease of Decommissioning
At the end of its normal service life
(20-30 years), a decommissioned unit
is approximately 99% recyclable.
Easy on the Environment
As opposed to wind and solar which
operate at 35-40% efficiency,
Torpedoes generate electricity with a
90+% efficiency.
Other “green” technologies don’t hold water.
Wave energy is 100% ecological and 2.5 times more efficient than wind and solar. Our Torpedoes use less than one metric ton of fabricated steel per megawatt as opposed to more than 180 metric tons per megawatt in offshore wind turbines. And unlike solar panels, Torpedoes don’t require hazardous chemicals or toxic materials. Plus, Torpedoes are not affected by natural interference. This makes BlueTec perfect for Caribbean Islands and other coastal areas where diesel generators are the primary source of electrical production.

Join the wave
of the future.
We all have a role to play in our planet’s future.
What role will you play?
